Some broad statements (negative statements) have been made by some about why people are blacking out their profile pictures on social networks in solidarity with the Martin family. I can only speak for me. I have made a choice to represent not only Trayvon but every black boy that has had his life taken senselessly. There black boys in my family who have been taught to act differently in public so they won’t draw attention to themselves. There are black men in my family who remember that lesson and act accordingly. There are black men in my family have been targeted by law enforcement unnecessarily. I have been targeted by law enforcement unnecessarily. It is sad to say but I have always feared for the boys & men in my family when they leave the safety of home for the uncertainty of the streets. I don’t want our boys to be fearful. I want justice for our boys and our men. I will not forget Trayvon. I won’t forget Oscar Grant. I won’t forget Sean Bell. I won’t forget Amadou Diallo. I will not forget. #JusticeforTrayvon
