Writing

Enjambment is a form I employ without knowing.  I use it so much so that I think that it is my signature style.  I wanted to try other formats to improve my writing so I’ll be doing some writing exercises.  This should be fun. Most times words just come to me, how I write them is how I hear them in my head.  There is no format at least I don’t think there is.  I like writing this way.  I think there are those who have critique pieces of mine and would like them to fit into a box.  A box cannot contain me.  I like the freedom of the pen.  I can say whatever I want, it really doesn’t matter how I say it.  I can use correct grammar or not, punctuation or not, it’s my prerogative.  We’ll see where my pen takes me.

FYI According my dude Webster, “enjambment is the running over of a sentence from one verse or couplet into another so that closely related words fall in different lines. Word origin – French enjambement, from Middle French, encroachment, from enjamber to straddle, encroach on, from en- + jambe leg — more at jamb  First Known Use: circa 1839.”
