We don’t write in a bubble — we write in the world, and what we say is influenced by our experiences. Today, take a cue from something you’ve overheard and write a post inspired by a real-life conversation. Revisit a time when you wish you’d spoken up, reminisce about an important conversation that will always stick with you, or tune in to a conversation happening around you right now and write your reaction.
Take time to listen — to what you hear around you, or what your memories stir up.
Like crows on a telephone wire, these folks are perched up trying to get attention. It doesn’t matter where the attention is coming from or if it’s good or bad. As long as you acknowledge them, that’s what count to them. No one wants to hear about the saga that is your menagerie. The collection of photo of people and animals that don’t even belong to them. They are like succabi sucking the souls of men. Oh wait, they do suck…the souls of men. The incessant drivel pouring from betwixt those lips. It collects in the back of the throat like verbal diarrhea. Oh gracious, that cackling! I am sure Popeye you do offend!
