Performing

I have changed pieces four times. I took out one since it hasn’t been copy written yet. I figured if this is gonna be in the newspaper I’d rather the pieces I perform be copy written. I have read and re-read them, taped them and played them back. I really don’t know if I’ve chosen the right ones. I will continue to read them until they become comfortable to my tongue again. I haven’t read anything on the mic in a long, long time. I figured what the hell and threw my hat in the ring. I don’t know how many poets will be performing but I hope to make an unforgettable impression. I’ve just gotta practice practice. I’ve got a little over a month to go. Off I go to recite and plug these words back into my memory.
